The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art was founded in 1945 by an American woman whose passion for Tibet was realized in the creation of two stone buildings that resemble a Tibetan monastery. The museum is perched atop a remote hillside at the edge of The Greenbelt Park. Visitors can enjoy a collection of ritual art in a authentic environment and spend a peaceful moment in the quiet gardens. For information and hours, call (718) 987-3500.
