In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), NYC Department of Parks and Recreation (“NYC Parks”) will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.

Language Access

It’s important that you can visit our parks and try our programs and services, no matter what language you speak. We have a plan to make sure that all park goers, including people with Limited English Proficiency (LEP), are treated with respect. Language should not be a barrier to receiving services. Five-Year Accessibility Plan

Local Law 12 of 2023, codified as NYC Administrative Code § 23-1004, requires every agency to develop and implement a plan that includes the steps it is currently taking and will be taking over the next 5 years to ensure that the agency’s workplace, services, programs, and activities are accessible to and accommodating and inclusive of persons with disabilities.
