The Greenbelt Conservancy
The Greenbelt Conservancy is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1989. The Conservancy is dedicated to promoting conservation, preservation and public awareness of the Greenbelt, a 2800-acre collection of public parks and natural areas in the heart of Staten Island. The Greenbelt is one of New York City's flagship parks and includes: High Rock, Willowbrook and LaTourette Parks; over 30 miles of hiking and walking trails; and meadows, lakes, marshlands and old growth forests.
