St. Mary's Recreation Center Pool
The indoor pool at St. Mary's Recreation Center is closed while the center is undergoing reconstruction.
Brownsville Recreation Center Pool
The indoor pool is closed at this location.
Brownsville Recreation Center is open with limited access due to construction. The Golden Age side of the building is open, while the main side of the building is closed. There will be no access to the indoor pool and gymnasium at this time. Visit our Capital Tracker page for updates on this project.
Metropolitan Recreation Center
Metropolitan Recreation Center is temporarily closed due to a mechanical issue which has resulted in poor dehumidification and air circulation. Equipment needed to assist in increased air circulation at the center has been ordered and will be installed within the next few months.
Ecology Park is a five acre site set within Paerdegat Basin Park. The goal of the park is to promote habitat restoration and ecological improvement, highlighting fourteen native plant community types that exist or once existed in New York City. Ecology Park is only open at certain times of year when Parks staff are present in order to protect this unique landscape. Want to visit? Beginning Tuesday, January 7 through Monday, January 20, 2025, the gymnasium at St. John’s Recreation Center will be partially closed with limited programming due to repairs.

The Brian Watkins Tennis Center at East River Park is currently closed as part of the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project.
John V. Lindsay East River Park
The section of East River Park south of Stanton Street is temporarily closed due to construction as part of the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project, which will protect Lower East Side residents and waterfront parks from coastal storms and sea level rise. East River Park remains open north of Stanton Street. For access to open park areas, use entrances at E. Houston Street, 6th St Bridge, or 10th St Bridge. The East River Esplanade will be closed from E. 96th Street to E. 103rd Street starting on Monday, Jan. 6. Construction work will begin on an asphalt detour for pedestrians at E. 99th Street, where a sinkhole has been filled in.
The Manhattan Waterfront Greenway is currently closed between the West 181st Street pedestrian bridge and Dyckman Street due to the formation of sinkholes on the greenway path. The West 181st Street pedestrian bridge remains open.

Harlem Meer Center (formerly Lasker Rink)
Anticipated Completion: Spring 2024

The East Dock at Muscota Marsh is temporarily closed for repairs. As an alternative, please use the boat launch at Inwood Hill Park or at Sherman Creek.
The 79th Street Boat Basin marina is currently closed. No vessel dockage, moorage, anchorage or launch services are available. The marina will be dredged and reconstructed to modern codes and standards. The marina is anticipated to reopen in 2028. Related inquiries may be sent to boatbasin@parks.nyc.gov

Due to construction, as of September 23, 2024, Cherry Walk at Riverside Park is temporarily closed between West 100th Street and St. Clair Place (West 125th St). Please view our Temporary Greenway Detour map for an alternative route.

Roger Morris Park will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Morris-Jumel Mansion is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Portions of The Battery, including the Battery Wharf, Gardens of Remembrance, and portions of the Oval Lawn are closed for the Battery Coastal Resilience Project. This project will rebuild and elevate the Battery wharf to reduce risk from rising seas and coastal storms, while preserving the character of the park. The Pat Dolan Trail is closed until further notice due to maintenance and repair needs.
Due to a major planned reconstruction project, Pier 1 at the World's Fair Marina is currently closed. Limited transient dockage is available for smaller recreational vessels - please contact the Dockmasters office at 718-478-0480 or VHF Ch71 for more information. There is no dockage available for larger vessels or commercial vessels, including passenger pick-up and drop-off. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please check back with the World's Fair Marina in the future for updates.
Forest Park Nature Center is currently closed to the public.

The dog run at Murray Playground is closed to the public until further notice. Dog owners are encouraged to visit the nearest dog run, located at Gantry Plaza State Park.
