Building a Gutter System for Rainwater Harvesting

Saturday, May 3, 2025

11:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will learn how to install a functional gutter system for garden tool sheds and pavilions. This workshop provides an opportunity to learn about rainwater harvesting techniques and their applications in urban gardens. As part of the workshop, participants will receive an 8-foot-long gutter system kit to take home and implement in their own GreenThumb gardens. Please note: these supplies are available only to members of registered GreenThumb gardens who are in good standing.

NYC Parks GreenThumb hosts this event. We are proud to be the nation’s most extensive urban community gardening program, sustaining over 550 gardens throughout New York City. With GreenThumb’s support, community gardens are centers of environmental justice, ensuring that our city is fairer, safer, and greener for all. GreenThumb’s events are free and open to the public.
