10:00 a.m.1:00 p.m.
Join us on Saturday, October 19th 2024 for a Lake Paddle on the Bronx River! This guided paddle starts and ends at the Bronx Zoo Mitsubishi Riverwalk. It takes paddlers through wooded sections of the river within the New York Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo. This section of the river is very calm and is a great introduction for beginner paddlers and families of all ages. *Please note: We will not be able to provide parking access for vehicles. Participants who plan to drive and park on zoo property must pay zoo parking fees. Paddlers will have the option of a canoe (for doubles and families) or a single-person kayak. We ask that participants wear appropriate athletic clothing that may get wet, including closed toe shoes! A ziploc bag to protect a phone or other essentials is also a great idea. All participants must fill out and sign our Bronx River Alliance Paddle Waivers before getting on the water.
