Managing Your NYC Parks Programs Account

Learn how to create an account and register for programs.

To register for an NYC Parks produced event, class, or program, you first need to set up your account.

Creating an Account

Before registering for your first program, you may need to create an account with the City of New York. To get started, please visit the Create an Account page to enter your name, email information, and a secure password

Some of you may have already created a login with the City of New York before on a separate system.

You will be able to log in using the same email and password that you have entered before.

Once you have created an account, search for the original program on our site. You will now be able to register.

Connecting your Recreation Center Account

If you have first visited an NYC Parks Recreation Center to sign up for a membership in person, you must connect your online account Io access recreation center programs and services. Once you become a member, you can use your account to register for center programs online. 

Please be sure to confirm the spelling of your email address and name as it is entered into our system.

Once you have signed up for a membership, please visit the Create an Account page to sign up, using the same contact information as before. Doing so will connect your account to your recreation center membership.

Registering for Programs

To register for a program, click on the registration link, and a window will open up in our registration system. You can use this system to confirm your registration by completing each of the steps.

First, you may be asked if this registration is on behalf of a family member, such as a child. If the program requires a recreation center membership, please make sure that all family members are members. You may also be asked to fill out additional information for our records, such as your contact number and address.

Later, you will be asked to "Checkout", and then to "Place My Order" to complete the registration process. There are NO additional charges for our free programs. You will then be emailed a confirmation. If you do not see the email, please check your "Junk" or "Spam" folder.

Withdrawing/Cancelling Your Registration.

To withdraw from a program, you can visit your recreation center, or call or email the contact provided on the program info page selected from the events calendar. As an alternative, you can take the following steps.

Dropping a Program

  1. Log in to your Member Profile
  2. Select the family member attending the program (If you have more than one family member using your PerfectMind account).
  3. Select the "Schedules" tab on the profile page.
  4. Select "Switch to List View."
  5. Find the program you are dropping, click "Action," and then click "Withdraw."

Getting Help

If you are having trouble with your account or with registering for a program, you have two options. If you are a member of an NYC Parks Recreation Center, you can call or visit the center for help, or to access a computer using our Media Labs.
