Astoria Heights Active: Soccer at the Park

Join us for a fun and engaging soccer clinic at Astoria Heights Playground! Led by Gantry Kids, this free community event is perfect for kids and families looking to develop their soccer skills, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors. Whether your child is a beginner or has experience playing, this session will focus on teamwork, coordination, and having a great time on the field.

This event is part of the SPARCS initiative, bringing community-driven activities to your neighborhood.

About Astoria Heights Active:
Astoria Heights Active was created in response to community feedback highlighting the need for fitness-based activities and family oriented events. Community members expressed strong interest in sports programming as a means to foster a healthier and more active community, with youth particularly enthusiastic about soccer and basketball tournaments, as well as yoga, dance, and Zumba classes. Residents also noted that while the park was recently renovated to include a lot of fitness and sports-oriented spaces, many of these spaces continued to be underutilized by the community.
