This event repeats on the 3rd Sunday of every month between 1/19/2025 and 12/28/2025.
Led by the Folk Music Society of New York, this program offers a great opportunity to experience authentic, time-honored maritime songs in an appropriately historic setting. The sessions are free and family friendly, and you are encouraged to sing along if the mood strikes you! If you can't make it this weekend, we hold a session on the third Sunday of every month.

Directions to this locationPublic Transportation: Take the S40 from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal (ramp D) to Sailors Snug Harbor Gate. Entering the grounds through the gate, the museum is building D, to the left. Driving / Ride Service / Bicycle: There is plenty of free parking available, including handicap parking spaces. The nearest parking lot to the Noble Maritime Collection is located in P2, the lot on the right if you enter through Snug Harbor’s East Gate on Fillmore Street. Our accessible ground-level entrance and a secure railing for locking up bicycles are in historic Shinbone Alley down the walk from P2, between the front and rear rows of Greek Revival buildings.
