In 2001 the Japanese American Association donated 168 Cherry Blossom trees to Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The Cherry Blossom, or Sakura in Japanese, is one of the national flowers of Japan and has become an international herald of the Spring season. Join Alejandra and the Shape Up NYC Flushing Meadows Corona Park Walking Group to see the Okame Cherry Blossoms with views of the Unisphere and Tower of Tomorrow as an iconic background.
