Volunteer Workday: Clifton Place Memorial Garden & Park
Saturday, April 26, 2025
10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
GreenThumb community gardens are developed, led, and cared for by dedicated volunteers who critically upkeep community gardens as public green spaces.
Since the 1970's, Clifton Place Memorial Garden & Park has been a staple in the Bed-Stuy community, providing its members and neighbors with bounties of food, a safe space to gather, and expansive gardening knowledge. During this volunteer day, participants will engage in meaningful, hands-on projects, such as building raised beds and planting a floral landscape. This is a great opportunity for those interested in getting involved with a community garden! Bring water, snacks, and comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Please note that some activities may involve lifting heavy material and moving, bending, and squatting for long periods.
