Spring Awakening: A Community Composting Event

Join The Brotherhood Sister Sol at Frank White Memorial Garden for A Community Composting event! This will be an opportunity to learn about Hot Box Composting and to network with other community farmers in NYC. Highlighted by a special monthly theme, every 2nd Saturday of the month from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., come participate in a HotBox Composting experience, where you can learn how to process organic material in a thermophilic composting system.

This HotBox experience will include processing, sifting, and prepping HotBox kits for other sites. Participants will be able to take home a gift, while supplies last. This will be an indoor & outdoor event. Bring water, snacks, and comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Please note that some activities may involve lifting heavy material and moving, bending, and squatting for long periods.
