Garden Mapping - Planning & Record Keeping

Sunday, March 23, 2025

11:00 a.m.1:00 p.m.

Garden mapping is a great way to beat the winter blues and plan for the season. In this workshop, participants will learn how to create a simple to-scale physical map of their garden space to support garden planning and record keeping. We'll discuss environmental factors that affect planning, such as common wind directions, rainy or dry areas, the direction of water drainage (lowest area), the pattern of the sun, and any shadows from large structures or trees. Attendees will receive supportive literature on plant spacing, soil chemistry, companion plants, and incompatible plants to support garden planning.
