City of Forest Day: Pelham Bay Park Trail Work

Volunteer with the NYC Parks Stewardship Team for City of Forest Day across New York City! Volunteers will help restore our local canopy and learn about all the benefits our city's forest provides. 

Join NYC Parks Stewardship at Pelham Bay Park for a day of trail work! Volunteers will contribute to ongoing restoration work, close desire lines, assist with corridor pruning along with debris removal to help restore the forest and create a healthier ecosystem. Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long sleeves, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty. Face masks may be worn at your discretion. Space is limited and registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. This event has been funded in part by NYC Service. To sign up a group of 10 or more volunteers please reach out to stewardship@parks.nyc.gov
