Greenbelt Native Plant Center Tour & Seed Harvesting

Join the Greenbelt Native Plant Center staff for a tour of the facility and a day of plant and seed care, and grounds maintenance. Outdoor tasks, if the weather allows, will include weeding, pruning, and nursery yard maintenance. There will be different ways to participate, but volunteers should be prepared for muddy outdoor work, dusty indoor work and should overall expect to get their hands dirty. Please come dressed in warm clothing, long-sleeved shirts and pants, and sturdy footwear. Gloves and necessary tools will be provided. Stick around for a plant giveaway after the workday! Volunteers can browse our free plants and take home their favorites. It's first come, first served, so grab as many as you can carry! Our friendly staff will be there to help with plant selection and answer any questions. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
