Tuesday, February 4, 2025

6:00 p.m.7:30 p.m.

Discover how advanced garden planning during the winter season can maximize your harvest during the growing season! This workshop will assist community gardeners in utilizing a garden journal to dream up and design their 2025 raised beds while strengthening skills to puzzle piece plants together to get the most out of your square footage. Techniques discussed for optimizing your crop yield will prioritize square foot gardening but will also consider succession planting, companion pairings, and nitrogen fixation.

NYC Parks GreenThumb hosts this event. We are proud to be the nation’s most extensive urban community gardening program, sustaining over 550 gardens throughout New York City. With GreenThumb’s support, community gardens are centers of environmental justice, ensuring that our city is fairer, safer, and greener for all. GreenThumb’s events are free and open to the public.
