Commissioner Silver Thanks You All

Last week, NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, FAICP, took a trip out to the World Ice Arena at Flushing Meadows Corona Park to celebrate the 8th annual Evening of Skating for NYC Parks’ employees and family.

“It’s one of my favorite events of the year because it gives me the opportunity to spend some fun time with all of the wonderful staff that contribute to and represent the agency,” he said. “It is so important to me to personally thank each and every employee for the hard work they do for Parks, and to assure them that their work does not go unnoticed. Thousands of Parkies work diligently every day to make sure that our parks are safe, clean, and green. So to all of my Parks employees, I say thank you! You should be very proud of your diverse accomplishments and contributions to this agency.”

Due to a major planned reconstruction project, Pier 1 at the World's Fair Marina is currently closed. Limited transient dockage is available for smaller recreational vessels - please contact the Dockmasters office at 718-478-0480 or VHF Ch71 for more information. There is no dockage available for larger vessels or commercial vessels, including passenger pick-up and drop-off. We apologize for any inconvenience.
