This Weekend In Parks : Adventures NYC!

Manhattan

Celebrate Adventures NYC throughout New York City on Saturday, June 17. The event’s "Basecamp" will take place at Central Park’s Naumburg Bandshell from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will find a gear expo, live musical performances, and x-game demos. You will also get the opportunity to participate in a number of exciting activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, and an outdoor fitness class.

Queens

Meet at the famous Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, with your bicycle, helmet and water bottle for an exciting bike ride through the Park. The Kissena Corridor Bike Ride begins on Saturday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. This is one ride with Adventures NYC you won’t want to miss.

Bronx

Trek through New York City’s largest park, Pelham Bay Park, with Adventures NYC this Saturday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. Meet at the Orchard Beach Nature Center, located at Section 2 of Orchard Beach, to begin exploring the rugged terrain of Hunter Island, where the forest meets the sand.

Staten Island

Want to see some of the most beautiful vistas Staten Island has to offer? Meet at the Greenbelt Nature Center, at the intersection of Brielle and Rockland Avenues for a three-mile round trip hike up Moses Mountain this Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. Don’t forget your water bottle and comfortable shoes for this part of Adventures NYC!

Brooklyn

Join Adventures NYC for a canoe trip through Marine Park. You will enjoy bird watching and observe the natural beauty that Brooklyn has to offer. Meet at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, June 17, at the intersection of Avenue U and Burnett Street. Participants will need to provide their own lunch and beverages and must be 8 years or older to participate. You can register for the adventure by calling 311 asking for the Urban Park Rangers.

World's Fair Marina
Due to a major planned reconstruction project, Pier 1 at the World's Fair Marina is currently closed. Limited transient dockage is available for smaller recreational vessels - please contact the Dockmasters office at 718-478-0480 or VHF Ch71 for more information. There is no dockage available for larger vessels or commercial vessels, including passenger pick-up and drop-off. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please check back with the World's Fair Marina in the future for updates.
