A pride of lions greet you at the entrance to O'Connell Playground, to symbolize the courage of the fallen World War I soldier who was the youngest person ever to be given the Croix de Guerre. Today this park features handball and basketball courts, as well as play equipment, game tables, drinking fountains and benches.
