Amersfort Park is one of the more peaceful and idyllic settings in New York City. With a lush green lawn with old-growth trees and rolling hills, the park is a place of quiet contemplation and public gathering. During the spring, the flowering Kwanzan cherry, eastern redbud, and crabapple trees bathe the park in a pink hue. A boulder in the center of the park has an inscription that recalls the neighborhood's Dutch heritage, and an attractive fountain acts as the park's centerpiece.
