This city plaza is filled with birch and maple trees that provide an attractive shady place to sit on a hot summer day. Towards the north end of the park lies a gazebo next to two bocce courts and grills, making the park a popular picnic destination and place to play cards and other games. The triangle honors William F. Moore, said to be the first local resident killed in battle during World War I, and a tablet in the park commemorates 49 local soldiers who were killed during the war.
