Msgr. McGolrick Park offers Greenpoint residents a quieter and more relaxed experience than its busy neighbor, McCarren Park. The park is known for being low-key, dog-friendly, and filled with large older trees that provide plenty of shade during the summer. The historic central pavilion dates to 1910, and nearby monuments pay tribute to local World War I heroes and the building of the USS Monitor. The gated play area offers swings, spray showers, and creative climbing structures to kids of all ages, as well as plenty of seating. Whether you want to browse the Sunday farmer's market, let your dog have a place to run, or just sit for a few hours in peaceful contemplation, McGolrick Park may be just right for you.
