RETIREMENT GALA IN BRONX BIDS FAREWELL TO PARKIES

A special farewell dinner reception, organized by the Parks Retirement Committee, was held last night at the Marina del Rey restaurant in the Bronx to pay tribute to Parks & Recreation retirees from 1986-1987. The Retirement Committee contacted over 200 retirees and their families from as far away as Pennsylvania and Florida to attend the evening's festivities.

"Combined, our 1986-87 retires represent over 3,000 years of dedicated service," said Commissioner Stern. "We at Parks wish them all the best in their future endeavors. Their millenia of service have made our city greener. They have our thanks."
