This field was once the site of the Crescent Athletic Club--one of the most prestigious sports clubs in New York City and a center of high society. After being purchased by the City, this field has served both the public and the students of Fort Hamilton High School since the school's founding in 1941. This field is shared by the school and the general public, with limited public access during the school year. The site contains a running track and a turf field that can be used for many sports, including baseball, softball, football, and soccer.
