NYC Parks yesterday announced that a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) has been issued for the development, operation and maintenance of bicycle rental stations at David Dinkins Circle at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, with the option for future Queens locations.

“From scenic waterfront parks to destination greenways, Queens is the ideal setting for cyclists to exercise and connect with nature,” said Commissioner Silver. “We encourage prospective operators to respond to this RFP in order to provide New Yorkers and visitors with more opportunities to experience our parks via bicycle.”

NYC Parks is seeking proposals for the development, operations and maintenance of bicycle rental stations in parks throughout Queens. Pre-approved locations include:

  • Forest Park
  • Little Bay Park
  • Alley Pond Park
  • Highland Park

The addition of any future Queens locations will be subject to prior written approval from NYC Parks.

In order to maintain safe social distance, all proposals for this RFP should be submitted electronically no later than Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 3 p.m. If unable to submit an electronic proposal, original hard copy proposals can be submitted to Parks’ Revenue Office on Wednesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 10, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Parks will hold a virtual recommended meeting on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. All interested parties considering responding to this RFP are encouraged to attend the remote recommended meeting. Prospective proposers may join this meeting via WebEx and phone. Meeting details are as follows:
