Estella Diggs Park encourages kids and New Yorkers of all ages to come outside and engage with the Morrisania community, in keeping with the spirit of Estella Diggs herself. Formerly known as Rocks and Roots Park, the park was named after Estella Diggs, the first African-American woman to represent the Bronx in the NY State Assembly. The park features gently sloping hills that evoke a Chinese landscape painting, along with accessible walking paths, seating, and play equipment perfect for children ages two to five.

This map is designed to represent parks as they are used by the public. It should not be used to represent the legal boundaries of property under Parks jurisdiction. If you would like to view all City property under the jurisdiction of NYC Parks, please visit NYC OpenData.
