Green Markets

Location: Various Locations Citywide, Union Square Park

The Council on the Environment of New York City (CENYC) operates open-air green markets (or farmer's markets) at over twenty parks throughout the five boroughs. These green markets serve two significant purposes: the markets provide New Yorkers access to fresh and organic fruits, vegetables, herbs, including a variety of baked and other farm goods, and they support regional farmers by giving them the opportunity to sell their products in the city. This partnership helps make New York City a healthier place to live.
