Every summer, Parks hosts tours and lessons for amateur and expert canoers and kayakers. Take a paddle around NYC with these fun trips.
Have your own kayak or canoe? Take it out into the water from one of these dozens of the launch sites across our water trail.
Hire an Urban Park Ranger for the day to teach you the finer points of canoeing and to lead small groups on canoe trips. All participants must be over the age of 8.
Water Trail Launch Application and Recommendations and Rules
Help us keep our water trail safe for New Yorkers and visitors alike. If you have your own kayak, canoe or boat, read up on these rules and suggestions and apply for your permit before heading out on the water trail. The charge for the permit is only $15.
