The NYC Parks Afterschool Program provides children ages 6 to 13 with academic support and physical activity in a safe, structured environment. This free program takes place on weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., a critical time to engage school-aged children in structured activities and expose them to new interests.

Programming is based around monthly themes supported by sports and fitness, arts and culture, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). Our program complements what children are learning in school and strengthens their sense of belonging in the communities in which they live.

With fun music and easy-to-follow steps, you can’t go wrong!

Participants must sign in at the front desk and bring locks to lock up their bags. The center does not allow anyone to bring their bags to the multi-use room except: towel, water and phone.

It's a great way for students to reflect on school, and personal interest through writing and drawings. Students will also be able to earn community service hours for taking part in this program. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to write in cursive!

Heavy guidance on proper lifting and technique is given to each individual to ensure optimal performance.
