Become an Artistic Swimmer. Challenge yourself to combine elements of ballet and gymnastics in the water. An instructor will lead participants to create and perform an artistic solo or team routine learning choreographed movements in the water synchronized with a musical accompaniment.

Children Learn to Swim Level 3 - Intermediate
Swimmers in Level 3 are starting to show stroke proficiency in the front crawl and elementary backstroke. Children will learn survival float, swim front crawl, and elementary backstroke. Scissor and dolphin kicks and treading water are learned as well. Swimmers will learn rules for headfirst entries and begin to learn to enter the water headfirst from a seated position.
Children and youth 6 to 17 years old gain basic swimming skills and learn how to stay safe in and around the water. Lottery based registration.

The objectives of Level 4 are to develop swimmers' confidence in the strokes learned and to improve other aquatic skills such as treading, and sidestroke. In Level 4 swimmers improve their learned skills and increase their endurance by swimming familiar strokes such as front crawl, elementary backstroke for great distance. Swimmers add the arms to the scissors kick for the sidestroke. Participants also start to learn the back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly and the basics of flip turns.

Children’s Learn to Swim Level 6 - Swimming and Skill Proficiency
The objectives of this level are to refine strokes, so participants swim them with more ease, efficiency, power, smoothness and over greater distances. Level 6 also introduces other aquatic activities and offers three options—Personal Water Safety, Fundamentals of Diving, and Fitness Swimmer. These options focus on preparing participants for more advanced courses, such as the Water Safety Instructor course, competitive swimming, or diving.

Dive Pool

Youth Hydro-Fit is a form of competitive swim training and conditioning, including general dry-land training exercises (push-ups, sit-ups, planks, etc). Similar to swim team level training, however, this program will not be single team based but open to any individual swimmer willing and able to join in on the advanced exercise. Requirements will be similar to the swim team, in which each participant must be able to swim 25 meters of each competitive racing stroke in good form, without stopping. All interested participants will be water tested before being allowed into the program. Participants must be ages 8-17.

The Adult Learn to Swim program teaches adults ages 18+ basic swimming and safety skills. The program offers adults the opportunity to become comfortable in the water and prepare to learn to swim. A swimmer wins or loses a race one of three ways: the start, the finish or the turns. This program is specifically designed to refine and enhance the flip turn and underwater phase of competitive
swimming. The primary goal is to improve the precision, speed and efficiency of flip turns, ensuring seamless transitions that maximize momentum off the wall.

Children's Learn to Swim Level 5. Swimmers in Level 5 are learning to refine their performance of all six swimming strokes (i.e., front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and sidestroke) as well as build endurance. Tread water for 4 minutes, Flip/Open turns for all strokes. Children and youth 6 to 17 years old gain advanced swimming skills and learn how to stay safe in and around the water. Recreation Center Membership Required.

Children's Learn to Swim Level 4. Swimmers in Level 4 are improving children’s proficiency in performing the swimming strokes that were introduced in Level 3. Swim underwater 3-5 body lengths, tread water for 2 minutes, and turns for Front Crawl & Back Crawl. Children and youth 6 to 17 years old gain advanced swimming skills and learn how to stay safe in and around the water. Recreation Center Membership Required.

This program is geared towards developing swim skills among those who are interested in becoming Lifeguards or Water Safety Instructors. The goal is to help participants pass the lifeguard qualifying test and or American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor entrance requirements. Intermediate swimming skills are required for this program.

Youth Hydro-Fit is a form of competitive swim training and conditioning, including general dry-land training exercises (push-ups, sit-ups, planks, etc). Similar to swim team level training, however, this program will not be single team based but open to any individual swimmer willing and able to join in on the advanced exercise. Requirements will be similar to the swim team, in which each participant must be able to swim 25 meters of each competitive racing stroke in good form, without stopping. All interested participants will be water tested before being allowed into the program. Participants must be ages 8-17.

Lap Swim is 25 meters across and seven feet deep.
