Summer Camp

The Summer Day Camp program is an exciting chance for children ages 6 to 13 to have a fun-filled summer! Campers engage in sports, fitness, and outdoor adventures while taking part in many of New York City’s rich cultural and educational opportunities.

Activities include arts and crafts, field games, sports clinics, computer classes, STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), cultural and educational trips, and nature exploration with the Urban Park Rangers. Specific activities, dates, and trip destinations will depend upon the camp location.

Our summer camp program is extremely popular, and in order to make sure that we can accommodate children as fairly as possible, registration is conducted through a lottery.

The 2024 Summer Camp lottery period has ended. Please check our Summer Camp page or sign up for our newsletter for updates.

Summer Camp Dates

Monday, July 8 – Friday, August 23, 2024

Cost

  • Regular Day Camp Cost (9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday): $500 per child for seven weeks
  • Extended Day Camp Cost (8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday - Friday): $575 per child for seven weeks 

How to Join the Summer Camp Lottery

If your child is not registered as a NYC Parks member, please create an account using Xplor Recreation. When registering multiple children for the lottery please create a family account.

If the child is already a NYC Parks member, please proceed to book that child or children into the lottery.

For parents and guardians who are City employees, please be sure to use your personal email, not your work email, when registering your child/children.
