19th Annual Wreath Interpretations Exhibition

Picture of a wreath from the 19th Annual Wreath Interpretations ExhibitParks celebrates the opening of the 19th Annual Wreath Interpretations Exhibition. Artists of all ages from across America have created wreaths to bring the holiday spirit to the Arsenal Gallery. This year’s entries are particularly creative, ranging from an electronic wreath fashioned out of neon lights to a festive circle crafted entirely from puzzle pieces.

The 30 wreaths presented in this year’s show are truly unique. An artist from Texas has woven together pieces of a garden hose to create her wreath while a class from the Amalgamated Nursery School in the Bronx pressed their handprints onto canvass to form their contribution. One of Parks own landscape designers strung together lifesavers and one wreath has been crafted entirely out of stuffed nylon stockings.
