at Alice Austen House Museum (in Alice Austen Park), Staten Island
6:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
The Staten Island Philharmonic performs "American Salute" at 6:00 p.m., followed by viewing of the citywide fireworks displays.
Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks: 40th Anniversary
at Houston Street and the FDR Drive (in John V. Lindsay East River Park ), Manhattan
9:20 p.m.–9:50 p.m.
