Album Description:

On Thursday, September 16, 2010 New York was hit by one of the worst storms in the recent era; two tornados and a macroburst crossing Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens knocked over or damaged thousands of trees and caused hundreds of streets to be closed. The storm left a swath of destruction that stretched uninterrupted from Park Slope through Bedford-Stuyvesant and Bushwick in Brooklyn, into Ridgewood, Queens and all the way through Queens to Bayside. This photo collection illustrates some of the damage caused by this powerful storm system.
