On October 12, 2012, a mysterious visitor came to the Arsenal building in Central Park. A man who had spotted an injured owl brought it to the NYC Parks headquarters for care in a shoebox. Urban Park Ranger Rob Mastrianni monitored its health, before it was delivered to the Wild Bird Fund for treatment and care towards its eventual return to the wild.
