Album Description:

In July, the Jamaica Bay Restoration Corps and hundreds of volunteers worked together to paint the jersey barriers that were installed to protect pedestrians and bicyclists on Shore Front Parkway from Beach 74th to Beach 107th Streets. NYC Parks invited local artists and designers to envision the surface of these ordinary barriers as canvases for art, and asked local community residents to vote on their favorite proposals. The winning designs were painted by volunteers.
