Album Description:

On April 27, 2009, Parks cut the ribbon on more than $2 million in improvements to Corona Golf Playground, a popular neighborhood playground in the shadow of the New York Hall of Science. The playground features new equipment for young and old, ranging from new playgrounds and spray showers to outdoor fitness equipment and basketball and volleyball courts. This improvement is remarkable for the place once referred to as the Corona Ash Dumps, immortalized as the "valley of ashes" in F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby.
