On March 24, 2012, the annual Going Green in Queens conference was held at the Al Oerter Recreation Center. Hundreds of New Yorkers attended this free event, which sought to connect people at the vanguard of conservation and environmental restoration. Throughout the day, people came together to discuss green ideas and ways to implement these ideas.
