The second annual FlyNY Kite Festival took place in Riverside Park South on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Participants created original handmade kites which they then unfurled during the festival, performing daring feats of aerial achievement before being judged by a panel. The festival also featured other live entertainment, and amateurs were encouraged to bring their own kites and attend kite-making classes.
