As the grand finale of "Make NYC Your Gym" Week, NYC Parks hosted the BeFitNYC Fitness Festival on June 12, 2011, in Manhattan's Washington Square Park. This event highlighted the features of the improved BeFitNYC, a search engine for free and low-cost fitness opportunities across New York City. To celebrate these enhancements, Parks held a festival of fitness, featuring demonstrations of many events and sports that can all be played in New York City by searching BeFitNYC.
