On June 23, 2012 Parks welcomed thrill-seeking New Yorkers to Adventures NYC, Parks’ 8th annual celebration of the outdoors. New Yorkers participated in handcycling, climbed rock walls, and learned how to snowboard on synthetic snow in Burton’s Riglet Park, brought to Central Park by Ski Vermont. Other activities included a health and fitness clinic and a mountain biking expo. Attendees also enjoyed live music from the Kings Country Ramblers, the Nick West Quartet, and Brooklyn’s own Lucius.
