On June 27, 2013, the start of the year’s pool season began with a celebration at the Thomas Jefferson Pool in East Harlem. Thanks to restored funding from the City Council, all 55 public outdoor pools will once again be open seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout the summer.
