The 2012 Adidas Grand Prix, held at Randall's Island Park June 9, provided athletes and spectators with a day of fierce competition. The track and field participants included David Rudisha, the 800- meter world record holder, Yohan Blake, the 2011 world champion at the 100 meter and others such as Allyson Felix and Kelly- Ann Baptiste. With the 2012 London Olympic games quickly approaching the day served as a prelude, enthusing both athletes and fans for what is to come.
