Staten Island

Directions via Google Maps

This idyllic park on the northeastern shore of Staten Island offers park goers one of the most picturesque views in the city. Popular with runners and dog owners alike, the park is known for its gently rolling hills and many trees, including red oaks, horsechestnuts, and tulip trees. The park offers breathtaking views of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and Staten Island's Fort Wadsworth to its south, as well as the lower Manhattan skyline. At the northeastern edge of the park, the September 11, 2001 Living Memorial Grove grows in clear view of where the former site of the World Trade Center once stood.
