South Oxford Park, completed in 2006, is one of the most striking parks in the city. Formerly the site of the South Oxford Tennis Club, the site was abandoned for years until Parks acquired the land in 1998. Today, South Oxford Park is a commons for the Fort Greene community. The park features a playground, a large multi-purpose synthetic turf lawn, gardens, and tennis courts. Most distinctively, the park features a large cat-tail themed spray shower for the summer months.

This map is designed to represent parks as they are used by the public. It should not be used to represent the legal boundaries of property under Parks jurisdiction. If you would like to view all City property under the jurisdiction of NYC Parks, please visit NYC OpenData.
