This bustling memorial plaza was named after Lt. Benjamin Kimlau, a Chinese-American bomber pilot who died serving his country in World War II. An 18-foot tall memorial honors Lt. Kimlau and the many other Chinese-American soldiers who lost their lives defending the United States. The site is also home to a statue of Lin Zexu or Yuanfu, a Qing dynasty-era scholar-warrior. Nearby, a larger-than-life bust of Confucius serves as an inspiration and important meeting place for the community.
