"PLANT PROFILE"

Annika Holder

Since Annika Holder became Assistant Director of JAC in July 2001, she’s brought unbelievable growth to what was already a great program. Annika has a knack for thinking outside the box. Rather than talking about what needs to be done, she starts to make changes. No one wants to say "no" to Annika (with the exception of her 3-year-old nephew who can actually get away with it). She has an amazing ability to convince people to do things they didn’t know they wanted to do.

Annika started with Parks in December 1999 as JAC Coordinator in Queens. When Brooklyn was without a Coordinator that summer, Annika ran the JAC centers both in Brooklyn and Queens, finally taking over as Brooklyn Coordinator in August of the same year.

If you see Annika in the corridors of the Arsenal, carrying boxes of resume paper into Jackie Robinson Recreation Center, stopping in on an ESL class in Arsenal West or running in Central Park, introduce yourself. She can probably find a way for you to help us make JAC better than ever. And trust me, she’s very convincing
