This Weekend in Parks
The free Festival continues this weekend with two wonderful shows on the Bryant Park Lawn. On Saturday, September 18 the Brooklyn Philharmonic performs, and on Sunday, September 19 the Parsons Dance Company will perform their rock dance opera “Remember Me,” featuring music from The Village Opera Company. The shows will run from 6:00-7:30pm on both evenings. Philharmonic guitarist Raphael McGregor will lead a percussion workshop for kids on Saturday, and David Parsons will discuss his coreography on Sunday, both from 3:30-4:30pm.
Meet at the Forest Park Visitor Center in Queens at 1:00pm on Sunday, September 19 to hunt down treasures hidden throughout the park. Kids of all ages are welcome, and prizes will be awarded.
