At Macombs Dam Park, you can step up to the plate like a New York Yankee, and run like a New York Pioneer. Built in the footprint of the classic Yankee Stadium and in the shadow of the new stadium, Macombs Dam Park offers some of the greatest places for running, sports and athletic events in the city.

Perhaps the most striking feature of Macombs Dam Park are the three championship-quality grass ballfields, built for softball, baseball, and Little League. You can play baseball within sight of the pros. In fact, the southern baseball field at the Park is built in the footprint of the classic Yankee Stadium, which means that you can step up to the plate where Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Derek Jeter, and all the Yankee greats once stood.

Other highlights include the Joseph Yancey Track and Field, which features a state-of-the-art 400-meter track with surfacing that has been used at the Summer Olympics, as well as a synthetic turf all-weather field that can be used for soccer or football, with grandstand seating for up to 600 patrons. There are also handball courts, four basketball courts, and a setting for adult fitness activities.
