In Memory Of All Those Lost On September 11, 2001
The ninth annual September 11 commemoration ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The ceremony will pause at four moments, twice to commemorate the moments at which each building was hit and twice to recognize the moments when each tower fell. Location: Zuccotti Park, on Liberty Street between Broadway and Trinity Place.
The "Tribute in Light" will return for one night as a tribute to all those who were lost on September 11th. The lights are located at West and Morris Streets in Lower Manhattan. The lights will be on for one night on September 11, 2010, beginning at sunset and fading away at dawn on September 12th. The lights are best seen when it is completely dark; sunset is expected to occur at 7:11 pm that night and sunrise is expected to occur at 6:33 am on the morning of September 12th. Location: West and Morris Streets in Lower Manhattan.
